Duckens - The Gem in the Tapestry of R3VOLVE

With hearts filled with gratitude and love, we celebrate a gem within the tapestry of R3VOLVE HAITI - Duckens Bonzil. The Haitian saying goes, "Dèyè mòn, gen mòn", reminding us that behind every story, there's another story waiting to be told. Duckens' journey beautifully mirrors this wisdom.

At 28 years young, Duckens, the eldest in his family, has beautifully navigated his life's journey. From recently completing his university education to joining R3H as a dedicated night security guard, his path of growth has been remarkable. Today, he serves diligently as a logistics assistant alongside Stéphane Jean, our beautiful and esteemed logistics manager. And if that isn’t enough, he extends his talents as an administrative assistant with the gracious Nicolas Pierre at the main office.

Music runs deep in Duckens' veins. As a rapper, he finds his voice, and thanks to Samuel Priviose, he’s been able to manifest his passion, serenading us with the rhythms and rhymes of Creole rap.

It’s no surprise that Duckens is cherished by all. Beyond his captivating looks, which might rival those of any fashion model, lies a heart of gold. Whether you need a tech hand or moral support when the studio is buzzing with energy, Duckens is your man. Fearless, kind, ever-helpful, and radiating respect for everyone, he embodies what it means to be a model human being.

With bated breath, we eagerly anticipate the melodies and messages of his next rap song.

"Thank you, Duckens". For embodying the spirit, depth, and journey that R3VOLVE HAITI cherishes.

About Me

IMG_5893.jpeg

In 2010 I visited Haiti with my dear friend Sean Penn and his organization JPHRO now known as CORE. He and his team showed me a side of Haiti that a simple guest or tourist could not see. I saw the beauty and resilience of a people held down by capitalism. I saw people struggling to pro-vide the most basic needs for their families. Haiti is meant to be a safe haven for 'freedom seekers' and the 'Pearl of the Antilles'.

The challenges are great but like all Haitians, I am not deterred by challenge.

Haiti represents HOPE to all struggling peoples and one day Haiti will be a beacon of light for all underdeveloped and supressed countries in the world. This is why my family places our focus and importance on Haiti. She deserves the chance to shine. We all do.
